Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace, server virtualization, hybrid cloud architecture, migrations without downtime.
Every business eventually faces the cloud decision: "Do we keep everything in our server room, move everything to the cloud, or run a hybrid?" The right answer depends on your applications, your data sensitivity, your bandwidth, your compliance obligations, and your budget reality.
Maverick doesn't evangelize "everything to the cloud" or "keep it on-prem forever." We assess what makes sense for your situation. Email? Always Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace at this point — running Exchange on-prem in 2026 is an avoidable risk. File storage? Depends on volume, access patterns, and offline needs. Line-of-business apps? Depends entirely on the vendor and your bandwidth.
Email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID. We license, configure, secure, monitor, and migrate. Conditional Access policies. DLP rules. eDiscovery setup. Information governance. Backup of M365 data (Microsoft does not back up your tenant — we use Datto, Veeam, or AvePoint).
IaaS workloads, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Files, Azure Site Recovery for DR, Sentinel for SIEM, Azure Backup. We build hybrid identity with Entra ID Connect, route traffic through Azure Firewall, and right-size every VM so you're not paying for unused capacity.
For clients on G Suite. Gmail, Drive, Meet, Chat, admin console hardening, MFA enforcement, third-party backup. Migrations to and from Workspace are routine.
Hyper-V or VMware ESXi for clients with workloads that belong on-prem (large databases, latency-sensitive apps, regulated data with specific residency requirements).
The most common project we run. Exchange to M365. GoDaddy to M365. M365 tenant-to-tenant. Workspace to M365. Physical-to-virtual. On-prem to Azure. Each migration follows a documented runbook with parallel-run cutover, rollback plans, and zero data loss as the target.
We are vendor-aligned with the platforms our engineers actually trust in production. Here is what powers this service line:
You need cloud services help when:
No. Microsoft replicates your data across their data centers for availability, but they explicitly do not back up your data against accidental deletion, malicious deletion, or ransomware. If a user deletes a critical SharePoint folder and the recycle bin retention expires, the data is gone. Maverick deploys third-party M365 backup (Datto, Veeam, or AvePoint) for every managed client. This is non-negotiable.
For a typical SMB (under 100 users) we run M365 migrations on a 3 to 5-week timeline: 1 week of discovery and tenant prep, 2 to 3 weeks of parallel mail flow, and a cutover weekend to finalize DNS. Larger migrations or those involving public folders, archive PSTs, or third-party data sources scope longer.
Most SMBs end up in a hybrid posture: email and collaboration in M365 or Workspace, file storage in OneDrive/SharePoint or Google Drive, line-of-business apps wherever the vendor supports best, backups always to a separate cloud destination. Pure cloud is rare and pure on-prem is almost extinct.
Azure spend gets out of hand fast when nobody is watching. Maverick runs quarterly Azure cost reviews on every managed client: right-sizing VMs, identifying unused resources (orphan disks, unattached IPs, idle VMs), recommending reserved instances or savings plans for predictable workloads, and tagging everything for showback. Typical savings on a first review: 20 to 35%.
